Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (or DFARS)
Airfasco Industries has manufactured DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement)
compliant 252.225-7014 Domestic Specialty Metals Alternate 1 for over 30 years by default of our location in the rust belt of America.
Over approximately 75% of our entire alloy raw material is melted in Ohio and some mills are right next door to our location.
Approximately 15% of the specialty non-ferrous stainless material is melted by Carpenter in Pennsylvania.
Airfasco in 2006 began noting on our test reports the “COUNTRY OF MELT” along with mill and heat number.

The balance of approximately 10% does comply per acquisitions clause 10 USC 2533b (h) (3).
as set forth in the 2008 Defense Authorization Act for acquisitions of fasteners that are commercial items that are purchased under a
contract or subcontract with a manufacture of such fasteners, if the manufactures has certified that it will purchase,
during the relevant calendar year, an amount of domestically melted specialty metal, in the required form,
for use in the production of fasteners for sale to the Department of Defense and other customers,
that is not less than 50% of the total amount of the specialty metal that it will purchase to carry out the
production of such fasteners for all customers
